Ese mismo año <span style="font-style: italic;">Christian Livingstone</span> se incorpora como segunda guitarra y así se configura la formación original.<br /><br />En 1999 deciden entrar a un concurso de bandas que organizaban por la radio y ganaron. Para el 2000 cambian su nombre definitivamente a <span style="font-style: italic;">"The Datsuns"</span> y en Agosto de ese mismo año lanzan su primer single <span style="font-style: italic;">"Super Gyration"</span> en vinilo de 7" (ese es uno de los sellos de The Datsuns, todos sus singles los lanzan únicamente en vinilo de 7"). En Julio de 2002 participan en las sesiones de John Peel, editan su primer album "The Datsuns" y también firman con el sello V2, que les permite continuar con su particular estilo de promocionar singles.<br /><br />Su primer album (<span style="font-style: italic;">The Datsuns - 2002</span>) es el que ha logrado mayor cantidad de elogios por la crítica (por si a alguien le importa esto), caracterizados por un rock mas duro, viceral y desenfrenado con un poco de la crudeza y suciedad del Garage. El 2004 vuelven al estudio y regresan a los escenarios con <span style="font-style: italic;">Outta Sight, Outta Mind</span> producido por el ex Led Zeppelin <span style="font-style: italic;">John Paul Jones</span>, que no correspondió a las expectativas esperadas. El 2006 editan <span style="font-style: italic;">Smoke &amp; Mirrors</span>, muy parecido a su anterior trabajo y que los mantuvo de gira promocional por Europa. Para este 2008 se espera su cuarta placa, programada para Julio o Agosto, mientras la banda realiza una gira por el mundo.<br /><br />Los Datsuns son principalmente y bajo su propio pensamiento, una banda en vivo y esto no es algo gratuito. A pesar de haber esperado casi 2 horas para su presentación, los Datsuns dieron al público (que a duras penas logró llenar la Rockola), un show llenó de energía, virtuosismo y rock puro y duro. La voz punzante de De Borst y su histrionismo (en un momento dejó el bajo de lado y comenzó a balancearse en la tarima) son la punta de lanza de la banda, seguidos por una segunda línea de guitarras bien afiladas y prodigiosas, y una batería incansable que es capaz de seguirle el paso sin problemas a esta armada de pesado retro rock de garage.<br /><br /><a style="font-weight: bold; Siguiendo la corriente «Nuevo Primitivismo» (surgido luego de la muerte del Mariscal Tito, líder-patriarca de la Yugoslavia de posguerra), desarrolla una banda Gypsy techno-rock, con mucha sátira a la política y a los musulmanes bosniacos, con lo cual tuvieron muchos problemas con religiosos y políticos. <span class="" id="wikiSecondPart">Para antes de los años 90’ el líder de la banda el Dr. Nele Karajilic fue enviado a Belgrado un poco antes que estallara la guerra y es aquí donde forma la No Smoking Band, por haber dejado su antigua banda.<br /><br />The No Smoking Orchestra La No Smoking es una especie de compresor de la tradición regional, procesadora de la influencia que ejerció en Yugoslavia la música árabe, hindú, rusa, griega, italiana. Comandado por su cantante –Dr. Nele Karajilic–, el grupo pasó por humo, surrealismo y sarcasmo todos esos sonidos, los reforzó con una armadura tecno rock y definió su esqueleto de criatura de los Balcanes de entreguerra: quilombera, gritona, inspirada. que les puedo decir:Dicen que el primer sentido que desarrrollamos es el del oido,que incluso desde que somos Fetos podemos escuchar las cosas que pasan a nuestro alrededor,conforme crecemos aprendemos las cosas de manera audiovisual(nos enseñan una cosa y nos dicen su nombre asi relacionamos lo que vemos con lo que oimos y creamos una idea concreta de lo que recibimos por los sentidos)asi atraves de los sonidos nos desenvolvemos en el mundo que nos rodea.Escuchamos un sonido y en nuestro registro de datos que tenemos lo analisamos y lo comprendemos,entendemos y al final continuamos con nuestra vida diaria...........pero............Que pasa con aquellos sonidos que escuchamos y sabemos de donde vienen y que objeto los produce,pero que aun asi nos aprisionan escapando de nuestro razonamiento colandose hasta nuestros sentimientos,que pasa con aquellos sonidos que no entendemos pero sentimos?Aquellos simples sonidos que nos hacen sentir?..........Eso es la musica aquello que entra por el oido,llega al cerebro pero el no comprende y lo envia al alma,aquella parte tan sensible.....que nos hace sentir, y si cientificamente los sonidos no son mas que vibraciones pues la musica es eso,sonidos que nos hacen vibrar con ellos,nos convertimos en sonido y se hace la musica..........Al final no seremos mas que silencio.El ultimo sentido que pierde el ser humano es
